This is your good-for-nothing absent admin speaking . Glad to see the site is still running still, and I really don't see any reason it won't be up for another couple of years. Having said that, I don't think the Cybiko community will be around that long (if it even still exists), but at the very least this site will be dedicated to what the Cybiko once was. I want to thank each and every member of this site for helping to keep the Cybiko alive. When my friend Dark and I started this site back in 2002 I was twelve years old (surprise surprise?). I probably didn't know the first thing about running a site, but our dream was to create a sucessful website that would help bring many people together. Along the way I've learning a ton about how to run a site, program, and be a more responsible person. I've met many great friends and have had a really fun time being a part of this community. Seeing how this site has evolved into what it is today makes me proud of what we've accomplished as a group. I set up the site, but it was all you guys who helped keep it going, and for that I thank you all. My continued absence is unforgivable, and if anyone could be said to lead this site it would be all of you, not me. Just the same, it is my responsibility to keep this site running and I'll continue to monitor it, and start posting more as well. Again, thank you all for making this site into what it is today. It's been a fun ride, and hopefully one we can continue.

Hello everyone long time no see.
I first want to apologize for not posting here/maintaining this site for a while. I've been very busy lately with school and also various other events have occurred that have prevented me from posting here. (and more recently without a computer with internet (internet is back, just not sure how much I will be using it due to my schedule)).
While all my interest in Cybiko has diminished, I do plan on posting here every now and then when I can to help those that still are.
I would like to thank all the current active mods/admins for holding up this site when the site appeared to be bombarded with spam.
I would add to this more but I unfortunately am running late again so I'll add to this maybe later.
Again, I apologize for my absence and I do hope to start posting here from time to time.
Oh and what has everyone else been up to? Fill me in. ;P

ANYONE doing ANY kind of spamming whatsoever will be instantly banned. It seems like the problem is slowing down but there's still stop popping up here and there. I guess there's really no point posting this as it's probably all being generated by bots, but hey .

After a uh..hiatus...I'm kinda back here. Yeah, contrary to popular belief, I wasn't killed by that maniac Dark...though he tried. In any case though, totally hats off to the moderators for doing an awesome job of maintaining the site while I was MIA. I'm really impressed at how much the site has expanded over the last year between users and posts.
I feel like I'm interfering with what's been established, but I've disabled admin validation for new members and reduced it to only requiring email validation. Reason being that the last member was a couple months ago even though there've been a lot of regs since then. Even though we've had problems with inappropriate content, I would rather deal with them on a case by case basis rather than limiting everyone since we do require registration for downloads and posting. We will, however, maintain a no-nonsense policy regarding any kind of spam/offensive content and won't hesitate to ban anyone for even seemingly "minor" offenses. Of course, if doing this messes stuff up again we'll go ahead and revert back to admin validation.
Even though the Cybiko company and site have been dead for several years, I'm happy to see that the community is still doing pretty well. I'm not sure how much we're going to be seeing in the way of new projects and events in the community, though I certainly hope to see something come up. Who knows, maybe I'll actually finish something for once myself .
We've got a pretty solid host and domain setup going for this site, so it's going to remain up for quite some time, though of course it's hard to foresee what will happen. I'll try to keep up with it myself, but you know, it's a crazy world so no promises . We do have one hell of a moderating team so I'm confident that things will be fine here, but I want to do my part as well. Well anyhow, enough on the rambling posts, it's business as usual here, and lastly, thanks to all the members and especially the mods once again, you guys rock.
Feel free to give me some replies with anything you guys would like to see here on the site.

Due to posting of outright porn on the newsboard and spam for drugs, etc new members must answer their email and then an admin must approve the request. After 5 days of not responding to email, the request will be denied. The request will also be denied if the name refers to porn, drugs, etc. Tough to be tough. Steve
